Hero's line was +EV throughout: the preflop isolation Raise, the flop value Bet, and getting all-in on the turn were all correct with 15BB. The only nitpick is the tiny turn Bet sizing. The loss came from a river card, not from a decision.
Street-by-Street Analysis
Preflop (8/10)
Isolating a UTG limp with A♥Q♥ to 12,000 (0.9x the 14,000 pot) is a solid value raise. At 15BB with antes, a straight shove is an equally good option because it denies the limper's equity.
Flop (9/10)
Two Pair (Aces and Queens) on A♣Q♠2♥ is a clear value Bet. 20,000 (0.6x) builds the pot while worse aces and Qx keep calling. After this bet only 28,000 remained, so you were committed to the hand.
Turn (7/10)
The K♠ put a straight and spade draws on board, but two pair is still well ahead of most of UTG's range: 86.4% against JJ and 87.5% against AJ. Only AA (0.0%) and the AK combo with the flush draw (4.5%) are in bad shape.
- The bet size: 15,000 into 74,000 (0.2x) is awkward with only 28,000 behind. Just put the 28,000 in yourself. That charges draws the maximum, and you are never folding anyway.
- The call-off: After UTG's Raise to 50,000, going All-in for 28,000 was mandatory with this much in the pot.
Hindsight: UTG showed A♦10♠, top pair with a gutshot to broadway. You were well ahead on the turn and lost to the river straight. Jamming would not have changed the result.
